Dead Horse Point State Park, Utah
Dead Horse Point is a magnificent vista high above the twisting Colorado River near Moab, Utah. The history of millions of years of formation are visible in the myriad striations that extend far into the horizon. The name reportedly comes from its use as a natural corral by 19th century cowboys where wild horses would often die of exposure.
